Budget Goes Green…Using Glasuirt 90 Line
Budget Truck and Auto Inc. has a long history of success and commitment to a healthier community. Budget has made another step forward in proving this by equipping its facility with Glasurit® 90 Line water-based paint technology by BASF.
Budget is the first shop in the Janesville, area to use this advanced-technology paint system. Water-based, or waterborne, automotive paint is more environmentally friendly than conventional solvent-based paint because its use releases significantly lower levels of VOC. Unlike waterborne systems introduced in the past, BASF's new Glasurit 90 Line coatings are a proven technology that performs as well as its solvent-borne equivalents. Worldwide, 70 percent of all car manufacturers already use waterborne basecoat finishes, and the percentage is rising. In the automotive refinish market, 90-Line is seen as a quantum leap forward. It not only follows manufacturer trends, but it is an environmentally friendly system designed to meet the most stringent emissions regulations currently in place and anticipated to be implemented.

Budget bringing something new to UMA in 2010
Visitors to the annual United Motorcoach Association (UMA) Motorcoach Expo in Las Vegas, February 23-27 will be treated to an up-close and personal opportunity with one of Budget Truck and Auto’s most impressive capabilities. The firm is bringing a sample of its work to the show in the form of a full-sized motor coach it converted to a day coach for Van Galder Bus Company of Janesville.
The standard seated motor coach was converted into an executive coach for Van Galder’s charter business in 2009. A special UMA expo bus wrap will be designed and installed by Budget’s graphics department for the special event. The bus will be featured in booth number 124 in the exhibit hall during show hours, February 24-26.
The coach features flat screen television monitors that rise out of the cabinetry, satellite TV, inputs for computers and DVD players, USB ports, and electrical outlets to charge computers and cell phones. Individual seating is available at card tables. Captain’s chairs and sofas are part of the seating scheme. It also features a galley kitchen with a microwave, coffee pot, and ice chests, and a rest room.
All jobs are custom with ample opportunity for owner input during the design process. Furniture, cabinetry, countertops, seating schemes and upholstery fabrics are designed by Budget’s team based on customer preference.
